Our Staff

Our team has 7 skillful and passionate educators that take pride in facilitating children’s interests, whilst capable of challenging learning and achieving their ‘next steps’. Our first aim with every child is to create a positive relationship filled with love and security, allowing the child to feel safe In their environment.

Each child has a ‘keyworker’, allowing them to know which adult that they can rely on. All of our staff care for all of the children, but by having a keyworker system, it allows each child to have a ‘safety net’ if needed and for the keyworkers to develop children’s skills and ‘next steps’.

Our staff recognise that each child is unique, knowing their likes, dislikes, strengths and difficulties. Instead of telling the children what we want them to do, we enable them through their environment, to explore what to do and how to do it.

Our time is spent ‘on the floor’ with the children, being at their level and following what they are doing. We observe the children and intervene where we notice a ‘teachable moment’, challenging them with open-ended questions and provide extended resources to adapt their minds and ways of thinking.

We aim for our children’s ideas to feel welcomed, valued and appreciated. This boosts self -confidence and will encourage the children to have their own ideas and become critical thinkers.
